How to prepare for a notary
Have every signer present with a current photo ID. Bring the complete document with every blank filled in, but do not sign it yet — you sign in front of the notary. If your document needs witnesses, bring them or ask us to.

What kind of notarization?
Most documents already contain the notary wording they need, such as an acknowledgment or a jurat (a sworn statement). If yours doesn't, ask whoever asked you for it, or your attorney. A notary may not choose it for you.
